Sams Place Bar & Grill

Sam's Place Bar & Grill, in Mount Hope, was established by former Vikings linebacker and Fayette County native Lonnie Warwick and has since become a favorite watering hole for locals as well as guests visiting the central New River Gorge region -- skiers, rafters, bikers, anglers, and sight-seers.

Though we've got a jukebox, Sam's is best known for its conversation. It's a place people gather to discuss the news and catch up with old friends. Our walls are filled with memorabilia from Mount Hope's past as well as from Lonnie Warwick's career playing for the Vikings, Redskins, and Falcons.
